Ep 8 Teaser: The Neuroscience Basics Behind Chronic Pain

Dr Brooke Keating holds a PhD in neuroscience and anatomy from the University of New South Wales, and has a particular interest in how uncontrolled inflammation can damage nerves and signal pathways.

After finishing her PhD, she spent several years working in the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in NSW researching how the immune system, inflammation, and epigenetics interact to potentially cause neuro developmental disorders in children, including autism spectrum disorder, PANS, and OCD.

She is now the Chief Scientific Officer of the Fenix Group in Melbourne, and oversees the scientific developmental of new drugs and medical devices on track to commercialisation and registration.
